lyrics

Escalate:

Verse1:
He didn't know another way,
and everyone around would do more of the same.
He had no reason to expect there'd be change.
He dressed and spoke and voted() and smoked just' cause the ones around him (did).
And when they told , he'd go. They owned him. He just didn't know it.
He wanted just to fit in, just to belong.
Just to be someone among them,
but what would he become then.

Chorus 1:
He didn't know where he fit into the picture of things.
It seems all he had was dreams,
based on singular self serving circle of conformity
that normaly would give away in time to greater minds.
But the general consensus of the old ways of one town around him.
It bound him into one type of thinking;
always blinking, never seeing.
You can never go back,
so know where you're going.

Verse 2:
She was upset with everything,
and no one took the time to see what she could bring,
and everything wanted to burst at the seams.
She wanted someone who could make her happy, make it work.
She wanted someone who could read her mind and end the hurt.
Her mother never taught her how to find herself inside.
'Cause when it was time to find herself, she found a different ride.

Chorus2:
She didn't know how to let go/ control.
Instead, she let herself go into a bad situation.
Often, confrontational/irrational
opinions of resentment
would come out and ruin her commitments.
Cause eventually even the little things snowball into a wall of chaos
until it all begins to crumble.
Begins to take it's toll on both sides;
deny it for a time, but it still eats them on the inside.

Verse 3:
He was a good man on the inside, but on the outside he was a F^K11Ng A#SH01e.
He was mad when people didn't think just like him; didn't know where to begin.
Simple things would escalate/ devastate. The work around him would spin.
'Cause instead of understanding, he's demanding.

Conclusion:
What seems to be between? The common link within these three?
What brings you down can rise you up if you haven't had enough, given up.
